Library closed until further notice
T.B. Scott Free Library has closed until further notice, effective immediately.
Based on the latest information and updates from state and local officials about the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus), we have made the decision that closing our building is in the best interest of public safety at this time.
Library administration will work with Merrill officials and the Library Board of Trustees to reassess the situation and determine when it is best to reopen.
At this time we are encouraging our patrons to use our website, tbscottlibrary.org, and the tools and resources available there, including eBooks and eAudiobooks, streaming video, digital learning tools, and more.
Some core functions of the library will continue. This is a changing, fluid situation, and we will continue to share the latest T.B. Scott Free Library updates on our social media channels and on this page. Thank you for your patience and understanding, and please continue to be safe.
Also, the Library offers a large collection of digital materials, including eBooks and eAudiobooks, which can be accessed at any time online through the Wisconsin Digital Library.
If anything else changes in the future with regards to our library and the services we provide, we will communicate that to our patrons immediately. Thank you.
More information on COVID-19 is available on the CDC website at www.CDC.gov.
LET THE LIBRARY COME TO YOU!
If you or someone you know is interested in T.B. Scott Library Outreach Services, please contact Donna Plautz (firstname.lastname@example.org) or call at (715) 536-7191.
What is outreach?
T.B. Scott Library offers free delivery of materials to residents unable to visit the library because of age, illness, disability, or other incapacitating circumstance. Delivery is scheduled according to temporary or long term needs, and services are always tailored to your personal preferences.
What can I request?
Any material that can be checked out can be requested through our Outreach services. This includes Books, DVDs, Music CDs, Audio Books, Large Print materials, and even magazines. You may request specific items, or materials can be selected for you based on your preferences.
How many items will I receive?
This depends on your preference. Most people find that 4 to 5 items per delivery is enough to keep them engaged. We can adjust the number and type of material at any time.
When will I receive the materials?
Materials are delivered to your door once a month by friendly staff or volunteers. Mutually convenient delivery times will be arranged.
How can I register for this service?
Please contact Donna Plautz by email (email@example.com) or call (715) 536-7191.
