Head of Youth Services
Responsible for the overall operation of the Youth Services Department. Duties include supervision of Youth Services employees and volunteers, programming, collection development, reference and readers’ advisory, and serving on the library’s management team. Work hours are generally from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. but may include an evening and weekend hours on a rotational schedule. Infrequent overnight, out-of-town travel may be required. This is a City of Merrill Grade 8 position, starting at $45,601.92 annually. Full-time benefits include health insurance, life insurance, paid vacation/sick/holiday/bereavement/personal leave, and the City’s contribution to the Wisconsin Retirement System.
Required: bachelor’s degree or equivalent; at least two years of experience working in libraries; at least two years of experience working with children. Preferred: Master of Library Science (MLS) or equivalent degree; supervisory experience.
A two-time recipient of the Library of the Year Award from the Wisconsin Library Association, T. B. Scott Free Library is an architecturally stunning building on the Prairie River in Merrill, Wisconsin. Merrill is traditionally home to the Menominee, Ojibwe, and Ho-Chunk, and is the gateway to the Wisconsin Northwoods. The library provides service to the residents of the City of Merrill and the surrounding communities of Lincoln County, with a total service population of 21,000.

We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented person to fill a part-time position as a cleaning/maintenance aide.
